为什么认清style很重要? 像25楼erdogan(小修辞)句: This, I cannot accept. 讲演辞中整治家语中用用算稀松平常，媒体记者仅个别用，科技文中罕见。你若学了它得知它'言简意深'特色而运用不分体裁不分场合，会很另类。单句确实很力度很激烈，但科技文真力度不靠这个。

科技语言有自己的一些小招是肯定的。例如，高频词compare，常见搭配有compare A with B 或compare A to B, 但可以选用一个比较'扎眼'的介词替代with/to. 如，against. 抄个新例句(语境, Google宣称其量子机问世且强大无比) (Nature) To demonstrate quantum supremacy, we compare our quantum processor against state-of-the-art classical computers in the task of sampling the output of a pseudo-random quantum circuit.

这句很流畅，信息密度高，配合前文说的quantum supremacy (篇章主题词)。我个人看，这句用compare A to B也挺好，而这个against 在强调B参照性及普遍性，因为against常用来引出背景(against背景用法,很多同学或许都学过了但不会用).

顺便提一个段落结构 (就Nature这篇大作用的)。先写一个主题句 To do...,we.... 再写两个We do句，后面跟随结段句 Finally, we... 这种精简结构都照雅思八股 firstly,...secondly, thiry,...finally， 显然节省读者时间节省篇幅。

英语不是God, 也不是洪水猛兽

(Nature) 这词说'保真性',源于男女“忠贞”. 可看成 accuracy, precision, correspondence, closeness的近义。简单说，fidelity是精度的新说法; 复杂说，你别相信字典(因为说hi-fi精度高听着就别扭)，要直接理解现代社会 在accuracy之上的更精细的概念)。

如，电脑领域, fidelity 是reproduce 之度量 -- The extent to which an electronic device or process faithfully reproduces audio or visual information. Hi-fi, for example, is high
fidelity. 因此，谈论新创的量子计算机，必须检验其fidelity，而不仅仅accuracy.

你若用了fidelity这种词，且明白了这种概念，不仅描述到位，你自己人格升华了一点，还帮别人升...

An early riser, no bird

台风移动，你说 move slow/slowly? 或 fast? 都很土或小儿科，非职场写法。说龟爬(台风龟爬很常见)，可用很专业的说法 inch[10k]或 edge[4k] (缓缓移动.近义creep,worm)。说快台风速移动，专业说法 barrel [10k](飞驰,快速移动)，尽管该用法informal，英美人都这么说。如，A car is barrelling out of.../ A cold front is barrelling towards a location/ The storm is barrelling through an ocean 等等。今天CNN新闻有个 Rare hurricane-like storm barrels through Mediterranean.
