Twenty episodes for the longest runningpayoff of the series so far. I expected them to play Haruhikage at some pointas CRYCHIC again giving it closure, and then did it! It was played really badlywith lots of mistakes and Tomori's voice all over the place but it was perfectfor the scene. Sometimes being predictable is perfect enough, I hope Sakikolearned a lesson and rely more on her friends from now on, she's going to haveto deal with a lot after how the episode ended.
Timmy isn't happy they played Haruhikage inepisode 7 so we're going back to regular Ave Mujica antics next week...

The emotional payoff and carthasis of thisepisode was overwhelming, especially after watching MyGO, playing the events inthe game, and then watching AveMuji. The performance scenes made me cry—Tomoricontinuing the lyrics that Saki sang before—in private with just her grandpiano, presenting the notebook to Sakiko and it's Tomori singing it this time.And then Haruhikage came and it hit me so hard. It's CRYCHIC's closure/reunioneveryone was waiting for.
Those days are long gone. They had fun (andfound a home in each other), but it's time to move on to separate paths whilejourneying on the same ground. Like parallel lines (Utakotoba lyricsreference)—but they exist in the same space. That's enough for now. No moremisunderstandings.
Peak episode. One of the best after MyGO ep10. Wow. Did anyone else cry like a baby?

Soyo’s growth is amazing. She showed themost progress of all the CRYCHIC members. Back in MyGO, she always wanted thisreunion to happen, but when it finally did she was more content with thesituation, she already moved on and accepted that CRYCHIC was no more.
Their inner monologue during Haruhikage isthe perfect closing chapter for CRYCHIC. My favorite lines:
"I always thought that we were aspecial band, that I believed in fate. Every day with everyone was so fun.Everything sparkled with them. Maybe it looks even more beautiful because we'velost it."
"I was saved by Tomori's song. I wasexpecting, hoping that we could recreate that day, a perfect live*, as aninvincible band. But in reality, we were just ordinary people."
(*Rikki having a bit of a Revue StarlightDaiba Nana moment, lol.)
Maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, but thenarrative here is incredible. Instead of framing it as a dazzling band momentthat can never be topped again for the rest of their lives (episode 13 stillshows Soyo clinging to some of those emotions), they learn and realize that itwas nothing more than a fleeting moment of their youth. This anime reallydeserves a coming-of-age tag.
Mortis's voice change when imitating Minamiis amazing. She sounds exactly like Minami. Watase Yuzuki the VA forMortis/Mutsumi is killing it here.
Maybe it's just me, but seeing Sakiko soregretful and pathetic made her seem human again for the first time sinceCRYCHIC's disbandment. You just know Sakiko is back when she's hesitant toperform Haruhikage again. She braves her emotions and avoids running away thistime it's beautiful.
I wonder if Soyo grows them on her ownbecause they look weird compared to Mutsumi's or Supermarket's lol.
Umiri is very jelly. Even back in MyGO shetold Rikki that it must be nice to worry about your own band.

The implication is that she did take overcaring for them once she's seen Mutsumi/Mortis' condition, which is why sheonly had some oddly-shaped pieces on hand. Remember that between the peak ofAve Mujica's activities and Mutsumi's extended absence from school she hasn'thad time to tend to the cucumbers, leaving them to wilt on the stem.

I'm grateful that MYGO and Ave Mujicaexist, but It's so bittersweet to think about what happened to CRYCHIC. A bandwhere all the members could connect with each other and finding happiness insharing that connection with music and song. Only for it to abruptly end due toa unforeseen tragic incident. The entirety of MYGO!!!! was just hammering thedown the nail that CRYCHIC was gone, but this episode definitely was the coffinbeing buried with Sakiko's line that the band can never come back. Legit mademe cry.
EP 3 of MYGO gonna be even tougher to watchnow
Mutsumi is back but I'm still apprehensiveon what's going to be done about Mortis, I really don't want her gone, or do afusion like thing that most anime do. I would like for both to be able to existtogether. Mutsumi looking at Raana at the end may be some hope
Best episode of the season hands down.

这一季最佳剧集，当之无愧。

Joke aside, this episode is a beautiful endfor CRYCHIC, also parallel with ep 7 of mygo, both with Haruhikage being atrigger for something big going forward and drive someone salty to the pointthey have to reform a band, last time it's Sakiko, this time is Umiri.
