Prices for a ready-made suit start from £595, a machine made outfit which has been personally tailored costs from £795 and a bespoke suit from £3,500.
The firm has 23 concessions in the UK and a further 73 in China.
The Savile Row Bespoke Association helped establish an 18-week pre-apprenticeship course three years ago and, since last October, two NVQ training courses to help bring new talent into the industry.
Afterwards Their Royal Highnesses travelled to Paxton and Whitfield, a specialist cheesemongers on Jermyn Street.
The Prince and The Duchess met staff and were talked through a number of items on display in the firm's large cheese counter.
They also had a chance to meet producers of various cheeses stocked by the company including St Eadburgha from Worcestershire, Cornish Blue and Lincolnshire Poacher.
Afterwards, Their Royal Highnesses visited Lobb’s shoemakers on St James’s Street.
William Lobb, a director at the shoemakers which was established in 1849, described how the economic downturn was affecting his company.
Mr Lobb, who is the fifth generation of his family to work at the firm, said: "We've had a bit of a tough period but it's a case of battening down the hatches and keep on going."
He added: "The British are slightly understated in terms of the skills we have and supporting them.
