徐正会老师和台湾学者认为原分类为叉细蚁的原细蚁也是有两个结节的，但第二结节与腹部的连接方式又和钝猛蚁亚科的“宽连”不完全相同。
至于叉颚原细蚁腹柄的两个结构，徐老师没有特别强调，只是说叉颚原细蚁的第二结节有明显凹痕。
