What is STRIBILD?

STRIBILD is a prescription medicine used as a complete single tabletregimen to treat HIV-1 in adults. STRIBILD should not be used with other HIV-1medicines. With STRIBILD, you have everything you need to treat HIV-1 in just 1pill, taken once a day with food.

Always practice safersex and use condoms to lower the chance of sexual contact with body fluids.Never reuse or share needles or other items that have body fluids on them.

How to take STRIBILD

Make taking STRIBILD part of your daily routine and always take the medicineexactly as your healthcare provider tells you to.

Take STRIBILD once a day Take 1 pill, once a day

Take your pill at about the same time every day

Take your pill with food—this helps get the right amount of medicinein your body

If you take an antacid medicine, it should be taken at least 2 hoursbefore or after you take STRIBILD. Also, please be sure to tell your healthcareprovider if you notice any changes in your health after you start treatment.

Don’t change your dose or stop taking STRIBILD without talking toyour healthcare provider first. If you stop taking your medicine, even for ashort time, it can cause an increase in HIV-1 in your body.

Do not miss a dose of STRIBILD. If you miss a dose:

Take the missed dose right away, unless it is almost time for yournext dose

If it is almost time for your next dose, take the next dose asplanned. Do not take 2 doses at the same time. Just take the next dose ofSTRIBILD at your regular time

Do not run out of STRIBILD. Refill your prescription or talk to yourhealthcare provider before your STRIBILD is all gone.

STRIBILD can cause serious side effects:

Build-up of an acid in your blood (lactic acidosis), which is aserious medical emergency.

Symptoms of lactic acidosis include feeling very weak or tired,unusual (not normal) muscle pain, trouble breathing, stomach pain with nauseaor vomiting, feeling cold especially in your arms and legs, feeling dizzy orlightheaded, and/or a fast or irregular heartbeat

How to take STRIBILD
