原则上近距离也没用。但是远距离还是可以的

比没有强

近距离不行，稍远可以

主要是防流弹吧

我玩战地1骑兵是有胸甲的 确实比一般步兵硬一点~

拿破仑时代可以防子弹，一战堑壕战也大部分可以防，二战部分子弹也可以防但是胸甲以成累赘没人用了

拿破仑时代及以前胸甲普遍可以防住20M外musket的带角度射击

普法战争时期就完全没用了，普军胸甲在相当距离上被割麦子

对胸甲出现时候那个时代的火枪是还可以的，但是也就防那一点
再后来，这玩意就变装饰品了

另外cuirassier时代不同装备也不同。十六七世纪穿的可是3/4挂防弹板
