“I love this city and playing in Miami. There are so many awesome things going this week, with the tennis, the music festival and fashion week,” Tipsarevic told SonyOpenTennis.com. “The city is full of people and they are coming to watch matches, regardless of the time of day and the court you are on. I just love playing here. I feed off the energy of the city and the crowd. Generally, in the past, this is probably my best Masters 1000 event.”
After winning the second set tie-break, the seventh seed dominated the third set to clinch the win in two hours and 28 minutes. The Serb leveled his head-to-head series with Anderson to a 1-0 mark.

“I was really confident in the third set,” said Tipsarevic “Beating Kevin, who is probably one of the Top 5 servers out there, with a 6-0 set, gives me a lot of confidence heading into the next round.”

The 11th-seeded Simon defeated Grega Zemlja 6-4, 6-4, breaking the Slovenian twice in each set to advance in one hour and 36 minutes. Simon has a 15-6 season record and is bidding to reach the quarterfinals in Miami for the second time. In 2011, he overcame Tipsarevic in three sets to win their fourth-round clash at Crandon Park.
